Academia Uruguay was the first institution to be recognized by the “Register of accredited institutions for the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.” This register was created by the department of Education, a subsector of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay. It aims to guarantee the quality of all Spanish courses for foreigners, and ensure member language schools comply with the established requirements.
This official recognition is another achievement in our efforts to provide academic excellence and professional service to our students.
Amerigo, a Latin American network of language schools with high quality standards, has also accredited Academia Uruguay. Amerigo approved schools are located in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, and each is a recognized academic institution with a wide range of Spanish courses. All are members of national and international language school associations (Tandem® and Instituto Cervantes). The network was founded with the intention of responding to the growing interest in travel programs and the study of languages.
The partner schools offer the same quality service to students with interest in discovering different cities while studying Spanish. For travel agents, Amerigo represents a select group of high-level Spanish schools in Latin America. The AMERIGO Schools can be found in Buenos Aires – Argentina, Córdoba – Argentina and Santiago de Chile – Chile.
