For those travellers who do not have time to attend regular classes or private lessons but need a basic input to be able to move safely in popular within the Spanish-speaking world, Uruguay Academy has created this new immersion program.

In one extended class we’ll concentrate on what you need to know in order to interact easily with people within everyday situations and to develop at least the minimal skills required for the most basic communication.

The intensive communication with native teachers specially trained in these first-contact-with-Spanish courses is a good way to immerse oneself in Uruguayan life and culture. Spanish class in a day takes place in the historic centre of Montevideo and leads participants through the major historical and cultural sites. Throughout this novel experience, students have the opportunity to learn about our lifestyle in a directly experiential way.

We end the day at one of the more traditional cafes in the city, reviewing what was learned over the course of the day so that you may put it into practise throughout the rest of your trip.

The course is held every Monday from 10 am to 4 pm
