As it’s located in the temperate zone of the southern hemisphere, Uruguay enjoys a moderate climate. The average spring temperature is 17°C (64°F); in summer, 25°C (80°F); in autumn 18°C (66°F); and in winter 12°C (54°F). Extreme temperature can reach up to 40°C (110°F) in summer or as low as 2° or 3° C° (26 or 28°F) in winter. There are sunny days throughout the whole year. The predominant winds are warm and humid from the north, and the winds from the south are cool and dry.
